Meet The Team - LLC

I serve as the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Luminous Mind, LLC and Luminous Mind Foundation, where I lead operations, program development, and organizational growth. With over eight years of leadership experience in management roles, I have developed strong expertise in accounting, operations, and billing, allowing me to build efficient systems and support high-quality service delivery.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Management and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Accountancy. I am deeply passionate about advancing Luminous Mind’s mission to support individuals and families through accessible, community-based behavioral health services. I am committed to strengthening our programs, ensuring operational excellence, and creating meaningful impact within the communities we serve.

I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. In my role at Luminous Mind, I provide clinical leadership and supervision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across our programs.

I specialize in working with individuals facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance use, anger management, family conflict, grief, and life transitions. My approach is centered on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change. As a Doctor of Education (EdD), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) in Texas and New Mexico, I am committed to helping individuals and families achieve healing, growth, and long-term well-being.

I serve as the Chief Operating Officer at Luminous Mind, where I bring strong leadership experience and a deep passion for advancing community-centered mental health care. In my role, I focus on strengthening operations, supporting program growth, and ensuring that our services remain accessible, effective, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. I am committed to promoting trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches that create inclusive and supportive environments for individuals and families. I am currently pursuing my studies in Social Work, further strengthening my ability to serve and advocate for those in need. I am dedicated to building meaningful connections, enhancing service delivery, and making a lasting impact on the lives of those we support.

I serve as the Credentialing Specialist at Luminous Mind, where I support our providers by ensuring all credentialing, licensing, and enrollment processes are completed accurately and efficiently. My role is essential in making sure our clinicians are fully prepared and able to deliver high-quality care to the communities we serve. I bring a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for supporting our team behind the scenes. I take pride in maintaining compliance, streamlining processes, and helping create a smooth and reliable system for both our providers and organization. I am dedicated to contributing to a strong foundation that allows our clinical team to focus on what matters most, providing compassionate and effective care to our clients.

Leila is currently in her third year of pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Webster University. She is passionate about supporting both children and adults facing mental health challenges and is eager to expand her skills through her internship with us.

Miguel Gutierrez is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern dedicated to supporting individuals and families through compassionate, client-centered care. Under the supervision of Dr. Marcos Peña, EdD, LCSW, LADAC, Miguel is gaining hands-on experience in community-based behavioral health services. We are excited to have him as part of our team.

Gabriela Cangas is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern committed to promoting emotional well-being and empowering clients through supportive services. Under the supervision of Dr. Marcos Peña, EdD, LCSW, LADAC, she is developing her clinical skills in a community setting. We are excited to have her on board.

Riley McFarland is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern focused on supporting clients through strengths-based and culturally responsive care. Under the supervision of Dr. Marcos Peña, EdD, LCSW, LADAC, Riley is building practical experience in behavioral health services. We are excited to have Riley join our team.

I serve as a CCSS Case Manager at Luminous Mind, where I have the privilege of supporting individuals as they navigate their journey toward stability and well-being. I work closely with each client to provide guidance, connect them to resources, and offer consistent support every step of the way. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, which has shaped my passion for helping others and advocating for those in need. I truly value building strong, trusting relationships and creating a safe space where clients feel heard, supported, and encouraged.

Ana Soto is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) intern passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and improve their mental health. Under the supervision of Dr. Marcos Peña, EdD, LCSW, LADAC, Ana is expanding her clinical experience while providing compassionate care. We are excited to welcome her to our team.

I serve as the CCSS Coordinator at Luminous Mind, where I support the coordination and delivery of community-based services to ensure individuals receive the care and resources they need. I bring extensive experience in navigating community resources and connecting clients to essential supports that promote stability and well-being.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which has strengthened my understanding of behavioral health and client-centered care. I am passionate about advocating for individuals and helping them access the services necessary to improve their quality of life and achieve their goals.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) with a strong passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. I bring experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, providing compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed care. I specialize in areas such as anxiety, depression, substance use, family conflict, and life transitions. I am trained in evidence-based approaches including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Brainspotting, which allow me to support clients in processing trauma and building resilience. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in their journey toward healing and growth

I serve as the Office Manager at Luminous Mind, where I help ensure our clinic runs smoothly and that every client feels welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive. I oversee therapist schedules, support our administrative team, and work closely behind the scenes to make sure services are coordinated efficiently.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, which has given me a strong foundation in health, wellness, and the importance of overall well-being. I truly enjoy creating a positive and comfortable environment for both our clients and our team. I take pride in being someone our staff and clients can rely on, and I am committed to making sure everyone who walks through our doors has a supportive and seamless experience.
